Join our team as a Civil and Traffic Liaison Officer

 

Be the vital link between the community, internal teams, and stakeholders, delivering exceptional customer service and timely solutions on civil and traffic matters across the region. In this dynamic role, you’ll analyse needs, shape policies and strategies, and lead improvements that enhance the customer experience across City Assets.

 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Manage all incoming and outgoing correspondence for the Civil and Traffic team
  • Deliver timely, high-quality customer service and regular progress updates
  • Investigate technical matters and work with experts to provide accurate advice
  • Lead workshops and reviews to drive process and technology improvements
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and templates for best practice
  • Liaise with stakeholders at all levels to ensure clear communication
  • Build strong relationships to deliver projects on time and to a high standard
  • Prepare reports and insights to support service improvement

 

Skills & Experience:

 

  • Proven ability to manage, triage, and respond to customer requests with professionalism, clarity, and technical accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build cooperative relationships with contractors, technical teams, and executive stakeholders
  • Experience collaborating with subject matter experts to prepare timely, accurate responses, reports, and updates
  • Demonstrated ability to lead business improvement initiatives through workshops, process mapping, and change delivery
  • Skilled in drafting policies, strategies, and procedures to support best practice customer service
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and time management skills in fast-paced environments
  • Understanding of records management workflows and compliance with policies and legislation
  • An understanding of working within a regulatory or government context is highly regarded
