Mission

 

As a calibration technician, you are responsible for the calibration of physical and electromechanical measuring instruments, as well as for the calibration of baths and ovens for production.

You are responsible for ensuring that calibrations are performed in accordance with the correct international standards, for both internal and external calibrations, and for following up on any non-conformities.

You will monitor the calibrations by consulting the SAP database and generate measurement reports.

You will be the calibration standards specialist within the calibration team in Brussels and will also advise a calibration team in Lummen on the applicable calibration standards.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Calibration of physical measurement devices (e.g. force, torque, hardness, pressure, temperature, etc.)
  • Calibration of electrical measurement devices (e.g. current, voltage, resistance, etc.)Calibration of baths and ovens (according to AMS2750: SAT, TUS, instrument calibration)
  • Performing calibrations, following up and preparing measurement reports.
  • Analysing technical specifications and standards.
  • Analysing and validating internal and external measurement reports in accordance with the appropriate international calibration standard and the principles of ISO17025.
  • If the calibration is not within tolerances, you are responsible for initiating the non-conformity process and taking the necessary measures in collaboration with the QA and QC divisions.

You are also responsible for:


•    Performing strict self-checks to ensure product quality and compliance throughout the entire production process
•    Complying with EN9100 quality standards and ISO 14001 environmental standards
•    Transferring skills and knowledge to new team members to promote an environment of continuous learning and mutual support.

 

Skills:

 

  • Knowledge of classical measurement techniques.
  • Knowledge of ISO17025, knowledge of EN9100 is a plus
  • Knowledge of NADCAP requirements is a plus
  • Excellent computer skills (i.e. Excel, SAP, preferably basic knowledge of networks)
  • Ability to follow strict procedures with precision.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to detect errors in data.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good knowledge of English (level B1)
  • Knowledge of French and/or Dutch

 

Education and experience:

 

  • Higher education diploma (Bachelor's degree in a technical field) or equivalent in experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' previous experience in a calibration environment (preferably in the aviation industry or a related industry).
