About the team and the role
This role forms part of our Passenger Experience team, reporting to the Manager Landside Operations and Performance. Day of Operations reporting line into the Airport Duty Manager.
As a key member of Sydney Airport's front-line operations team, this role is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure and seamless road network for SYD and ensure minimal disruption to the passenger journey to kerbside.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to
- Deliver excellent service to passengers, stakeholders, and partners at Sydney Airport.
- Work closely with internal and external teams to maintain high standards in passenger service and ensure safe, secure, and smooth travel.
- Keep the Airport Duty Manager and Operations Centre informed about key issues and respond quickly to anything affecting passenger experience or stakeholder relations.
- Handle incidents, including medical and safety situations, and coordinate on-site responses as needed.
- Monitor kerbside, landside bussing and transfer operations to ensure minimal delays and consistent service quality.
- Support investigations and ensure timely reporting and corrective actions.
- Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with service standards and contract performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., parking, commercial transport, facilities, security) and external partners (e.g., NSW Taxi, Uber, TfNSW).
- Assist during irregular operations, such as delays or weather disruptions, and escalate issues according to procedures.
About you
- Completion of HSC or equivalent.
- First Response Medical qualifications/Senior First Aid is desired.
- Prior experience in a complex, dynamic operational shift environment with competing priorities, including incident and emergency response.
- Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing role with a strong focus on service delivery, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Highly developed communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver results.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on standards and presentation.
