Your Role
Join IAG as a Specialist, Group Portfolio Management and play a pivotal role in driving strategic decisions that shape our insurance portfolio.
As part of the Insurance Risk, Strategy and Performance team within the Group Chief Underwriting Office (GCUO), you’ll deliver high-impact analysis and insights that guide our Group Portfolio Management (GPM) process. Your work will inform risk oversight, support strategic decision-making, and help quantify risk impacts aligned to our group risk appetite.
You’ll collaborate across teams to maintain a coordinated, group-wide approach to portfolio governance—translating complex data into clear, actionable advice for senior stakeholders.

This is a permanent opportunity based in Gadigal Country (Sydney).
About You
At least 5 years’ experience in an actuarial, portfolio management or performance analysis role.
Good knowledge of the general insurance industry.
Strong understanding of the drivers of insurer financial performance including capital management.
Excellent analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to analyse data and synthesise and develop findings to support management decision making.
Strong commercial acumen.
Awareness of changing technology/customer/insurance trends.
Good interpersonal and influencing skills.
Well-developed report writing and communication skills.
Able to lead projects and manage complex stakeholder relations.
Able to learn new skills, adapt, and create value through experimentation.
Relevant Tertiary qualifications e.g. Actuarial, Finance, Insurance.
Relevant industry qualifications e.g.: ANZIIF.
Collaborative, team player, able to work independently & towards team goals.
