Role Summary
We are seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join our growing marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling and a strong understanding of graphic design principles. As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for creating compelling visual content that effectively communicates our brand message and engages our target audience. You will work closely with various departments to ensure that all design projects align with our marketing strategies and objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Omni-channel shopper journey, including brick-and-mortar and e-commerce platforms. As the consumer landscape evolves, this individual must leverage insights, data, and cross-functional collaboration to create compelling retail programs that influence shopper behavior and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Success in this role requires the ability to drive joint value creation with retail partners, align internal stakeholders across functions, and deliver tailored marketing solutions that enhance brand visibility, conversion, and loyalty in all channels.
Duties and responsibilities
Packaging & Label Design
- Design packaging and product labels across various formats including paper, shrink sleeves, bags, bottles, and flexible pouches.
- Create production-ready artwork from approved designs that adhere to brand and print specifications.
- Carry projects from concept through final production, maintaining attention to accuracy and consistency at each stage.
Mockups & Concept Visualization
- Develop mockups and comps (digital and physical) for internal use, customer presentations, and pre-press review.
- Create digital renderings of packaging and/or product displays for websites and digital experiences
Brand & Campaign Development
- Conceptualize and develop branding systems, campaign identities, and key messaging frameworks that align with marketing strategy.
- Ensure brand integrity is upheld across all visual touchpoints including print, digital, photography, video, and trade show/booth design.
Cross-functional & Vendor Collaboration
- Collaborate with marketing, regulatory, product development, sales, and ecommerce teams to deliver integrated creative assets.
- Manage vendor relationships, including overseeing pre-press, proof reviews, and on-site press checks to ensure production quality.
- Lead the review and approval process using online proofing tools, ensuring all assets meet production and brand standards.
Digital & Print Design Support
- Design assets for multi-channel campaigns: social media, e-commerce, point-of-sale, tradeshow graphics, email, and print advertising.
- Prepare and package artwork for a range of outputs, meeting resolution, bleed, dieline, and color space requirements.
Photography & Image Editing
- Support product and lifestyle photography when needed; retouch, edit, and prepare images for packaging and digital use.
Asset Management
- Maintain an organized archive of working and final files, templates, dielines, and creative assets for cross-team access and reuse.
- Ensure strict version control and proper labeling for all files throughout the production lifecycle.
Trend Monitoring & Innovation
- Stay updated on design trends, materials innovation, sustainability practices, and evolving CPG packaging standards.
- Propose new visual approaches that improve shopper engagement and brand perception across channels.
- Proven experience designing for consumer-packaged goods, retail, and/or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong illustration skills, with the ability to create original artwork, icons, and product visuals that enhance branding and campaigns.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, with proficiency in InDesign and Photoshop.
- Solid understanding of typesetting, typography, and layout principles.
- Experience with mockup creation and an understanding of 3D rendering tools (e.g., Adobe Dimension, Blender) is a plus.
- Strong grasp of print production, including color separation, dielines, bleeds, substrate limitations, and packaging material constraints.
- Familiarity with regulatory and legal labeling requirements for consumer packaging.
- Demonstrated ability to create production-ready files and manage proofing/press checks in collaboration with printers and vendors.
- Experience optimizing design assets for digital shelf environments (e.g., Amazon, e-commerce platforms).
- Knowledge of project tracking and content management tools, such as Asana, Trello, or online proofing systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Strong visual problem-solving skills and adaptability to shifting priorities and feedback.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail; able to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with photography, photo editing, and visual styling.
- Understanding of large-format and booth/trade show design is advantageous.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating creative work across packaging, branding, digital, and print applications.
- A degree in Graphic Design or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered
