The Security Admin Assistant provides administrative support to the Security Team and performs other job-related duties as assigned by department manager.
Starting wage is $24.15/hr, increasing to $28.73/hr at successful completion of 90 days. This full-time position features excellent employer-paid medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Three years of experience as an administrative assistant required.
- Casino and security experience is preferred.
- Additional education or related experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of the position.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Security Admin Assistant plays a vital role in keeping the department organized, efficient, and running smoothly. They coordinate schedules to ensure full coverage, manage timekeeping records, and assist with payroll processing. With strong attention to detail, they support the preparation and maintenance of department correspondence, reports, and records while keeping a well-organized filing system. They track department equipment, oversee supply inventories, place orders, and coordinate vendor services as needed. The Security Admin Assistant also schedules meetings, maintains calendars, logs and follows up on employee evaluations and disciplinary actions, and serves as the department’s Safety representative. In addition, they handle incoming calls and mail, route information appropriately, and collaborate with other teams to ensure timely completion of requests—all while supporting leadership in fostering an efficient, professional, and safety-conscious casino environment.
COMPETENCIES:
Brings strong knowledge of administrative best practices, purchasing processes, and casino/security operations, with a clear understanding of department policies and procedures. Excels in organization, customer service, communication, and recordkeeping, while confidently using computers, office software, and multi-line phone systems. Skilled at coordinating with multiple teams, managing files and correspondence, scheduling, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining smooth workflow. Demonstrates the ability to multitask effectively, safeguard confidential information, and keep office operations running seamlessly from supplies to scheduling.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Sit for extended periods of time.
- Use manual and finger dexterity to operate a computer and related office equipment.
- Lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Work indoors in an office environment.
- Work in a smoke-filled environment.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Our facilities operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year which may require this position to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
