Position Summary

This intern will assist the Purchasing team in sourcing materials, tracking orders, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods. This role will work closely with the Operations, Manufacturing, Order Processing, and Sales teams to support purchasing activities that align with production schedules, order fulfillment, and customer needs. The intern will gain hands-on experience in supply chain management, vendor relations, and cross-departmental collaboration.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in issuing purchase orders and tracking order status from placement to delivery.
  • Support vendor communication, including follow-ups on lead times, shipment updates, and quality concerns.
  • Maintain and update purchasing records, reports, and supplier information in internal systems.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Manufacturing teams to align purchasing timelines with production schedules.
  • Work with Order Processing and Sales teams to ensure materials are available to meet customer order deadlines.
  • Assist with inventory monitoring to identify potential shortages or overstock situations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field; recent graduates also encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
