Reports To: Senior National Sales Manager
Schedule: Weekdays with travel as needed, occasional weekend events, attendance at special events required
Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000/annually

As a Commercial Sales Account Manager, you will lead efforts to grow our commercial presence, especially in the multi-family housing sector, by building strong relationships with designers, developers, and property managers.


This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys connecting with others, managing multiple priorities, and bringing a consultative, design-focused mindset to sales.


This is a non-commissioned position.


What You’ll Do


· Generate and grow commercial sales with both new and existing customers

· Lead business development efforts in multi-family housing and adjacent commercial markets

· Collaborate with designers and customers to develop layouts and recommend furniture solutions

· Schedule and host in-person lunch and learns and trade events

· Attend and represent By the Yard at tradeshows, including setup and teardown

· Prepare and process sales quotes and orders

· Follow up on leads and prospect independently through cold calling, networking, and referrals

· Build and maintain accurate records using Hubspot and Acumatica

· Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process

· Travel regionally and nationally as needed to attend events and visit clients


Requirements

What You’ll Bring


· 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial sales or business development

· Strong communication and relationship-building skills

· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with a high degree of organization

· A collaborative, self-starter mindset and comfort working independently

· Familiarity with commercial markets such as property management, design, or real estate

· Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

· Willingness and ability to drive, transport, and set up tradeshow materials

· Ability to travel regionally and occasionally overnight

· High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or design background preferred
