Housing Services Specialist (HSS) needed to work in Columbia. The HSS plays a critical role in ensuring eligible applicants have access to safe, sanitary, and affordable rental housing. This position is responsible for leasing rental units, conducting landlord outreach and recruitment, and providing housing-related services to improve the quality of participants' living conditions. The HSS manages all aspects of the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program, including processing new applications, recertifications, interim changes, transfers, tenant-landlord communications, and maintaining program compliance. Pay is $17.50 per hour.
Desired candidate should possess strong communication skills, excellent computer skills, have reliable attendance, and have a desire to help those in need.
Job Requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Prefer Associates degree or post-secondary training or education.
- Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and be able to accurately type 50 words per minute.
- Minimum of one year of experience in clerical, administrative, or social service roles, preferably within a
housing or community services organization.
