Hybrid LINE LEADER SECONDARY OPERATIONS presso BRODART CO

Description

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor or their designee, this position will be responsible for the daily output of materials that require processing in Secondary Operations.  The responsibility covers the efficient processing of materials to meet daily BPH/Output goals and quality standards.  Communication and teamwork are essential.

• Responsible for the quality and output of processing of various tasks within the department as required.
• Maintain a consistent flow of materials. 
• This position will be the point of contact for problems, team questions, teamwork, quality and BPH output.
• Ensure the achievement of quality requirements and productivity to meet daily goals.
• Required to maintain the end-of-day reporting of production.
• Responsible for performing other duties of equal or lesser classification irrespective of required changes in department, hours (including mandatory overtime) or work conditions as directed by supervision.
• Responsible for regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ensure that the team maintains a safe, clean and organized work area, emptying trash, sweeping floors as needed.
• Responsible for organizing and distributing supplies as needed.
• Cross training and substitution of tasks that may be of higher classification as required by supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, basic math and follow directions both verbal and written.
• Must be proficient in each task within processing.
• Perform at a superior proficiency level of competence within production standards of efficiency and skill.
• Must be able to work well and communicate effectively with co-workers and to adhere to Brodart rules, policies and standards of conduct.
• Must be able to work in a production environment that may be subject to varied temperatures and other conditions, such as noise (conveyor), dust and glue or adhesives.
• Must be able to sit/stand/walk for 8 hour shifts and possess the ability to frequently bend and lift 40 lbs and up to 70 lbs occasionally and push book trucks weighing several hundred pounds.  Close and distant vision, using hands and fingers to handle and feel, talk and hear.  This position is subject to scheduled overtime which may be required based on production needs.
