Purpose of Role
Under general supervision of the Head Coach the Assistant Coach Women's Bowling assists the head coach in developing student-athletes academically and athletically for the Bowling program and contributes to the educational mission of the University by offering direction and instruction in the area of Bowling.
About This Opportunity
Joining our Athletics team, the Assistant Coach Women's Bowling (10 Months) will be responsible for the following:
- Contribute to the educational mission of the University by coordinating the instruction of student-athletes in the area of (sport) training and competition;
- Assist with the recruitment of student-athletes for the (sport) program;
- Assist in planning practice, conducting practices, and game prep.
- Provides motivation and support for the student-athletes;
- Transports student-athletes to and from practices and competitions utilizing college-owned vehicles;
- Operates the program under the rules and regulations of the College, the NCAA, and the ECC.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of coaching and teaching techniques and the ability to effectively use them.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
- Ability to drive a personal or college vehicle for the purpose of college business on a regular basis.
- Ability to travel when necessary.
- Knowledge of recruiting techniques and the ability to effectively use them.
- Current certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid. Annual Blood Borne Pathogen education/training.
- $3000 stipend
Qualifications:
- Previous experience coaching at a high level.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Valid driver's license required. License must meet insurance company rules and regulations for driving underwriting criteria.
