Position Title: Seasonal Assistant Athletic Director (AD)
Terms of Employment: Seasons based on the IHSA Calendar: Fall/Winter/Spring
Immediate Supervisor: Assistant Principal of Athletics & Activities
Stipend: Category A (Article XI, Category 2) of EPET Contract per season
Summary: To provide seasonal support to the AP of Athletics & Activities via assisting with logistics for both athletics and activities, as well as supervision when there are nightly competitions.
Major Policy Responsibility: The Seasonal Assistant AD serves as an exemplary leader for all athletic coaches, advisors of clubs, event works and officials. They reinforce quality leadership best practices in how extracurriculars should be run and lead. In a collegial relationship, the Seasonal Assistant AD will provide coordination and operational support when it comes to the ongoing daily needs for both athletics and activities. The Seasonal Assistant AD also acts with integrity, fairness, and in an ethical manner, striving to meet the needs of a diverse learning community and in accordance with the requirements of the Illinois High School Athletic Association [IHSA].
Goal: To provide an additional level of support to the Assistant Principal of Athletics & Activities when it comes to strengthening the day-to-day practices and bookkeeping needs of our athletics and activities program; while also providing additional needed support when it comes to the supervision of events outside of the school day.

Job Responsibilities:
Assume logistical responsibilities for athletic activities at the high school as delineated by the Assistant Principal of Athletics & Activities; this could be, but is not limited to: event set-up, scheduling of events and/or transportation, arrangement of officials, assignment of athletic workers, coordinating with athletic trainer etc.
Assume logistical responsibilities for clubs at the high school as delineated by the Athletic Director; this could be, but is not limited to: event set-up, scheduling of events and/or transportation, arrangement of officials, monitoring and taking of regular attendance, etc.
Assist in providing each enrolled student of secondary school age an opportunity to participate in co-curricular athletics and activities that will foster a sense of twenty-first century soft skills such as, but not limited to: communication, teamwork, goal setting, etc.
Fosters a knowledge and understanding of the pleasures of sports and the principles of fair play and good sportsmanship within the parameters as set for by the IHSA and the Upstate Eight Conference.
Fosters good school-community relations by keeping the community and schools within our District aware and responsive to our athletics and activity programs.
Supervises interscholastic events and co-curricular programs as designated by the Asst. Principal for Athletics & Activities.
