Job Summary

Provides support for various identified grants and district initiatives related to requisitions, POs, invoices, inventory, travel, payroll, and more. Collaborates with Grants Management staff including the ESEA Grants Coordinator and Executive Director of Grants to ensure school and district compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines regarding the use of grant funds and identified initiatives. Initiatives include School of Innovation grants, ESEA grants, Summer Learning Camps/Promising Scholars, and Magnet Schools Assistance Program, among others as assigned.

What you will do
  • Reviews and inputs requisitions in R12 for identified initiatives and grants which may include MNPS district orders, school orders, charter school reimbursements, and non-public school orders; ensures timely completion of procurement process including payment to vendor for requisitions submitted by Specialist.
  • Supports schools and district teams with grant-funded travel; reviews and approves grant-funded Spend Authorizations/Travel Requests and Expense Reports.
  • Processes supplemental pay for grants and identified initiatives.
  • Facilitates communications with schools and other departments related to grants and identified initiatives; coordinates with various teams such as procurement to support the work of the Grants Management team.
  • Implements and evaluates district-wide processes that support school- and district-level operations related to grants and identified initiatives; creates forms and templates for use in order to ensure compliance.
  • Utilizes resources and tools such as Allovue and Excel to support effective management of grant and district funds.
  • Manages documentation for monitoring purposes; collaborates with Compliance Director and Grants Coordinator to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations; supports monitoring requests from federal and state monitors and auditors
Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field Preferred
Experience Qualifications
  • Expert level experience in Excel and Google Docs Required
Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Background knowledge in finance and federal programs preferred, as well as knowledge of district procurement policies and use of R12.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Federal and State laws and regulations and District policies and procedures preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Expert level experience in Excel and Google Docs.
Equivalency
Starting At: $68,976.66

Salaries are determined by factors relevant to the position which may include education, experience, and other qualifications. Final compensation decisions are made at the discretion of MNPS in alignment with organizational policies and procedures. The stated salary range for certificated teaching positions is calculated based on 201 days and should be viewed as a reference. All provided salary ranges serve as a general guideline.
