Job Title: Programs Coordinator 

Home Office: Vienna, IL; Anna, IL; or Cairo, IL. Location is dependent on office space availability. 

Area of Focus: Behavioral Health
Program(s):  Southern Illinois Rural Healthcare Services Outreach program (SIRHSO) - SIRHSO focuses on expanding access to preventative health care services in underserved rural areas through the following four national priority areas: Heart Disease, Cancer, Chronic Lower Respiratory Disease (CLRD), and Unintentional Injury. This consortium includes local healthcare providers and community-based partners who are committed to reducing health disparities and improving access to early detection and preventive services in our rural communities.

Immediate Supervisor: Director of Project Outcomes

Supervises: Registered Dietitian and Case Manager
Hours of Work:  Full-time 40 hours/week. On-call crisis rotation. 

Programs Coordinator Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in public health, healthcare administration, or a related field, master’s degree is preferred, or a Registered Nurse. Minimum of five years of experience managing healthcare or public health programs. Proven leadership, budget management, and data oversight skills are preferred.

Programs Coordinator Skills & Knowledge: Knowledge of local health and human services resources. Excellent active listening skills. Excellent written, oral, visual, and non-verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines as assigned. 
Programs Coordinator Special Requirements: Must be 21 years of age; maintains a valid driver’s license and vehicle liability insurance; maintain First Aid & CPR certification; must complete required registry clearances and criminal fingerprint background checks; travel to off-site/community based locations for direct service delivery; schedules evening / or weekend hours as required; participates in after hours and day call crisis rotation.  

Programs Coordinator Position Summary: The Programs Coordinator will oversee all aspects of program implementation, including staff supervision, budget management, and achievement of program goals and objectives as outlined in the HRSA Rural Outreach Work Plan.

Programs Coordinator job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead the implementation of key program activities to meet identified goals and objectives.

  • Supervise and provide support to the Registered Dietitian and Case Manager to ensure alignment with the work plan.

  • Coordinate consortium meetings, data-sharing initiatives, and quarterly data discussions.

  • Ensure timely hiring of project staff and manage personnel records in collaboration with Arrowleaf HR.

  • Oversee social media and communication campaigns to promote preventative services.

  • Monitor program progress and compile data for quarterly and annual reports.

  • Act as the primary liaison with stakeholders, including SIRHSO Consortium members and external consultants.

  • Ensure compliance with HRSA reporting and financial guidelines.

  • Identify and address potential risks or barriers to program success.

  • Lead community engagement efforts to foster support for the program.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.

Salary Range: $49,620 - $64,730 (pay is based on education level, years of experience, and credentials)
