We are seeking a Fiberglass Cutter to join our team! Under general supervision, cuts manually with knife, fiberglass from sheet or roll stock to size required, using pattern and/or rule.

 

This is a full-time, union-hourly position located in Lancaster, PA. Hours are 1st SHIFT: Monday – Friday, 6 AM – 2:30 PM

 

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Obtains patterns from storage bin to cut fiberglass required.
  • Required to unload and store fiberglass.
  • Ability to lift the roll onto the table.
  • Keeps record of material cut by size.
  • Packs finished material in bag and stores in area until needed.
  • Work station must be kept clean and organized.
  • Refers unusual problems to group leader/supervisor.
  • Performs other work as directed commensurate with this or lesser rated labor grades
  • Required to fill out job cards, data sheets and reports accurately and legibly.


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and reach up to 7 feet
  • Experience with hand, power, and measuring tools a plus!

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
