STARTING SALARY: $60,000 - $68,500

REPORTS TO: Senior Program Manager, Associate Program Director, or Program Director

POSITION DESCRIPTION/PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

The Program Manager will partner with existing management to oversee the planning, implementation, and performance of Hired’s Hennepin County MFIP Program and program staff. The Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) helps families with children meet their basic needs, while helping caregivers move to financial stability through education and work. Hired is committed to developing and implementing person-centered programming that supports the whole family. This position will supervise staff members at our North Loop and Bloomington locations and will require some travel around the Twin Cities.

    

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


  • College degree in Human Services, Social Work, Education, or a related field, plus at least three (3) years case management or supervisory experience. A college degree may be substituted for additional years of experience. 
  • Ability to lead diverse teams in a manner that is equitable and inclusive.
  • Ability to lead by example and to mentor and guide others.
  • Skills in written and oral communication. 
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Skill in teaching/coaching techniques.
  • Efficient organizational and planning skills.
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritize work. 
  • Ability and willingness to respond constructively to rapid change.
  • Computer proficiency (especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Valid driver's license, proof of vehicle insurance and vehicle or a reliable means to travel for work when needed. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage and oversee the administrative and daily operations of assigned programs, ensuring compliance with governing contracts.
  • Assist in establishing and implementing short and long-range goals for the program and the organization.
  • Ensure that the program activities meet the specified objectives and program goals. Oversee the collection, compilation, and analysis of program data; prepare and present findings as necessary.
  • Evaluate program performance and reports. Communicate critical issues and program activities to the associate program director or program director.
  • May provide supervision to staff involved with the assigned programs, which includes work allocation, employee training and development, problem resolution; evaluates performance of supervised staff and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Assist in the recruitment, hiring and training of program staff.
  • Assist with the management of contracts, grants, county/state and federal funding. Approve and monitor budget expenditures; assist with proposal writing to develop additional funding.
  • May provide services for assigned client caseload in order to meet program goals.
  • Keep Hired management informed of critical issues or factors which may impact the organization.
  • Keep abreast of factors or programs which may affect job placement including the labor market situation, available training programs for clients (internal and external), and various client assistance programs.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the design and development of new programs/projects.
  • Collaborate with other Hired departments, programs, and community partners to consolidate resources and enhance program performance. 
  • Participate in the development and implementation of methods to evaluate and improve client and employer satisfaction. Assist with budget responsibilities within assigned programs, including budget revisions, quarterly, and year projections, and making budget targets. 
  • Complete and submit required reports to funder(s) accurately and in a timely fashion.
