Position Description: 

The Software Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for acceptance testing of production software prior to deployment including the creation and execution of test plans, deployment requirements analysis, and documentation of test results.

Software QA Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures in accordance with project scope and delivery timelines.
  • Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
  • Identify, analyze, document, and monitor resolution of problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
  • Participate in product design reviews, providing input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
  • Manage software release deployment and end user notification, including training when necessary. 
  • Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks.
  • Conduct training sessions for end users.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QA Management and or Analyst Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Internal Audit Program including planning, coordinating, and leading the Internal Audit Team ensuring all ISO Internal Audits are performed on schedule and in accordance with ISO guidelines.
  • Manage the Quality Focused Check Program including planning, coordinating, and performing Quality Focused Checks to identify and analyze system, process, procedure, or personnel irregularities that conflict with the common goal of superior quality outputs for all operations related functions.
  • Oversee and manage Vendor Score cards including data analysis of incoming lot performance and nonconforming vendor outputs as well as quarterly review with Integra purchasing personnel.
  • ISO Documentation and reporting development with key items directed to Quality Manager
  • Develop Bartender Templates for the use in Automation and Manual printing
  • Consultant for anything related to Bartender Automation and or the problems seen for correct path to solutions
  • Coordinate with IT on Windows Server environments and testing
  • Run daily reports and guide Quality Department goals when Quality Manager is not present.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables. 
  • Ability to configure network systems and moderate understanding of computer networking. 
  • Skilled at time management and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated individual able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge in technical aspects of software development lifecycle and acceptance testing.
  • Business process understanding.

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • AS/AA degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science or equivalent education and experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant technical quality assurance experience
  • Experience in Quality Management Software, ERP/MRP systems such as Acumatica or Navision, Microsoft Office Suite

Reports To: Quality Manager

Physical Job Requirements: 

 

  • Sitting: Must be able to sit for a minimum of 4 hours
  • Walking: Throughout the facility on a continuous basis
  • Lifting/Carrying: Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Climbing: Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Vision:  Corrected 20/20 vision required
  • Talking/Hearing: Must be able to communicate on the telephone.

 

Environment:    Office environment with moderate noise level.  Position will work 50% in office and 50% from home.
