About Mass Audubon
Mass Audubon is the largest nature-based conservation organization in New England. Founded in 1896 by two women who fought for the protection of birds, Mass Audubon carries on their legacy by focusing on the greatest challenges facing the environment today: the loss of biodiversity, inequitable access to nature, and climate change. With the help of our 160,000 members and supporters, we protect wildlife, conserve and restore resilient land, advocate for impactful environmental policies, offer nationally recognized education programs for adults and children, and provide endless opportunities to experience the outdoors at our wildlife sanctuaries. About This Position
The Blue Hills Trailside Museum is seeking two part-time Field Teachers to help support our animal ambassador school-based outreach programs. The Blue Hills Trailside Museum cares for native, non-releasable wildlife. None of the animals at the Blue Hills Trailside Museum could survive without human help, and some of our wildlife became animal ambassadors. They enrich our school programs and ignite the spark of curiosity and wonder for students, inspiring them to learn about and protect the natural world.

This position works directly with our animal ambassadors and helps teach our Nature Tales and in-school animal ambassador programs for students in preschool-2nd grade. These are all hands-on, standard-aligned, engaging lessons that include art, movement activities, and stories. Field Teachers are an important part of the Blue Hills Trailside Museum’s education team and will help to develop and deliver science and nature-based programs to students.
