Hybrid Director of Accounting presso CHARTIERS CENTER

Chartiers Center is a private, non-profit corporation funded by state, county, third party insurances and private funds. Services include intake, referral, outpatient therapy, psychiatric assessment, service coordination, substance abuse treatment, training and social rehabilitative services, crisis intervention, partial hospitalization, community outreach, day, and recreational services for adults with intellectual disabilities, homeless outreach, and housing program.

As Direct of Accounting with Chartiers Center, you will join a leadership team that is committed to providing compassionate support to those in need who face behavioral health, co-occurring disorders, or IDD challenges as they transform their lives.

Job duties of Director of Accounting include:

• Provides support to the Chief Financial Officer
• Provides supervision to the AP/Fleet Accountant, Fiscal Specialist, and Payroll/Billing Coordinator (for payroll duties)
• Oversees monthly and year-end closing processes and ensures accuracy of financial data and reports
• Oversees the publication and distribution of financial statements
• Maintains the general ledger and chart of accounts
• Monitors restricted and grant funds and reports on these funds
• Manages agency vehicle fleet
• Engages in collaborative budget planning efforts with the CFO
• Assists in the preparation of the annual independent fiscal audit  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Accounting required
• 2 years of management experience required
• Relevant experience in a nonprofit organization or behavioral health/IDD program preferred
