CT Technologist - Fayetteville
Job Summary:
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) scans to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. This role requires technical expertise in operating CT equipment, strong patient care skills, and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients for CT scans, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Explain procedures clearly to patients and answer any questions.
- Operate CT scanners to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Administer contrast agents under physician direction.
- Monitor patients during procedures for adverse reactions.
- Evaluate image quality and ensure diagnostic usability.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Clean, calibrate, and maintain CT equipment.
- Follow radiation safety guidelines to protect patients and staff.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members.
- Stay current with advancements in CT technology and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography and CT.
- State licensure (if applicable).
- BLS/CPR certification.
- Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Proficiency with PACS and radiology information systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Associate’s Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or similar field
- State licensure
- Current ARRT/CT certification.
- Knowledge of safety requirements to provide instructions and to recognize and correct hazardous conditions.
- Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
- Maintains communication and cooperation with radiologists and other ancillary departments regarding changes in protocol, scheduling of procedures, exams performed and patient flow.
- Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
- Excellent customer service skills ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Flexibility in scheduling
