Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 - 5:00 with a minimum of 3 days (very preferably four) in the office
Position Summary
The Senior Director of Administration (SDA) leads the business side of FIVE18 so that it is aligned with and supportive of mission and program ministries flourishing. This person fully comprehends that a thriving mission and work environment requires a clear plan for financial and personnel sustainability that is implemented well. Consequently, providing oversight to all aspects of the agency’s budgeting and financial management as well as the efforts to create a thriving, trauma-informed workplace for staff and clients alike is the critical purview of this person. But business is more than just about money and staffing. This role also ensures a robust technology platform supportive of all operational needs is in place and evaluated, along with well planned and executed events and projects. This role is the primary risk mitigator for FIVE18, the efficiency champion to ensure effective stewardship of agency resources, and the strategic overseer of all agency assets. And by overseeing the Operations Team which supports all ministries, they are a key cheerleader for internal customer services and our desired organizational culture. Not just minding the backshop, this person will play a key role with community engagement, supporting our fund-raising efforts, and ensuring the strategies of FIVE18 are actively advanced.
Essential Duties:
- Provides excellent leadership and support to the Operations team.
- Assists with developing and implementing operational strategies that support the company's overall objectives and long-term goals.
- Ensures effective budgeting creation and oversight processes are maintained to drive short- and long-term financial sustainability as well as audit success.
- Identifies areas for improvement in business processes, streamline workflows, and implement strategies to maximize output and minimize costs.
- Works with the HR team and ministry leaders to create a thriving workplace culture.
- Ensures the organization has the technology tools and software to provide highly effective services.
- Develops, implements, and monitors and holds staff accountable to operational policies and procedures.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and vendors.
- Participates actively in ELT and Ministry Council meetings.
- Ensures that resources (materials, equipment, personnel, properties) are allocated and managed effectively to support operational needs.
- Is responsible for anticipating and mitigating meaningful risks that could impact FIVE18’s mission.
- Provides oversight and support of our events, projects and collaboration efforts to create a milieu that is community collaboration centric.
- Champions and holds team members accountable to our desired FIVE18 culture.
- Works to build meaningful relationships with key community stakeholders and assigned donors.

Required/Preferred Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (Required)
- Graduate degree preferred (MBA, or others)
Required Experience:
- 5+ years related position

- Office or other equipment: Normal use and understanding of basic office equipment including the computer and its related software, copiers, and fax machines
- Able to learn donor database fundraising software for the purpose of research and data updates
- Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
- Dress and act in a professional manner
