Hybrid Business Analyst presso Gwynedd Mercy University
Gwynedd Mercy University · Gwynedd Valley, Stati Uniti d'America · Hybrid
- Senior
- Ufficio in Gwynedd Valley
Position Summary
We’re looking for a Business Analyst who can bring structure to chaos, challenge the status quo, and help turn strategy into executable, real-world solutions. This isn’t a paper-pushing, order-taking role. It’s a hands-on, high-impact position on a small, mission-driven team working to modernize operations, improve student experience, and deliver meaningful outcomes across the university.
You’ll lead the discovery and documentation of business processes, work side-by-side with our developers, and serve as the critical link between our business units and the technical team. If you're the kind of person who finds clarity in complexity and enjoys being part of a organization-wide transformation, this is your seat at the table.
What You’ll Do
- Facilitate and lead conversations with functional stakeholders to uncover business needs, ask tough questions, and translate unclear asks into concrete requirements.
- Document requirements, existing processes, and help define desired future-state workflows that support automation, integration, or system improvement.
- Work directly with developers to design, build, test, and implement technical solutions, helping to bridge any gaps between what the business needs and what the systems can do.
- Prioritize incoming requests, manage multiple concurrent projects, and help keep things moving in a high-change environment.
- Drive consensus among stakeholders and help teams move beyond legacy thinking toward smarter, simpler processes.
- Adapt quickly when direction shifts, and help others do the same.
What You Bring
Required:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role
- Strong interviewing, facilitation, and documentation skills
- Familiarity with workflow mapping, process automation, and enterprise systems
- Experience working with higher ed platforms such as Ellucian Colleague, Slate, Canvas, or similar
- Ability to manage 4+ active projects at once without losing sight of the details
- Practical knowledge of systems thinking, data flows, and business process redesign
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills across technical and non-technical teams
Preferred:
- Exposure to Agile or hybrid project management environments.
- Ability to write simple SQL queries, scripts, or assist with prototyping.
- Experience contributing in high-change environments.
Attributes for Success
- You create clarity where others see ambiguity.
- You’re flexible, not rigid, able to pivot and move fast when needed.
- You ask “why” before jumping into “how.”
- You’re comfortable challenging old assumptions and helping others rethink how things are done.
- You don’t wait for perfect, you make things better, one iteration at a time.
- You see this role as an opportunity to make a difference, not just punch a clock.
Why This Role Matters
We’re building a more nimble, student-focused university, one that’s easier to navigate, more efficient to operate, and more prepared to adapt. There’s real work to do, real buy-in to support it, and real impact to be made.
If that excites you, we want to talk.
