TITLE: Commercial Services Manager
LOCATION: Headquarters
REPORTS TO: Executive Vice President – Chief Credit Officer
CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Exempt
PAY GRADE: EX 60 ($67,500 - $106,100 annually)
AVAILABILITY: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
Position Summary:
Oversees and administers all aspects of the Commercial Services Department. Must understand all duties relating to each functional area of Commercial Services.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Exercises leadership in the Commercial Services area of the Bank and directly supervises all Commercial Services staff.
2. Oversees all commercial loan servicing, loan documentation and loan set-up for the life of the loan.
3. Continually monitors loans to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
4. Proactively follows all compliance and regulatory changes to ensure Bank compliance.
5. Reviews and approves customer requests, including line draws, overdrafts, wire transfers, etc. as needed.
6. Partners with Project Management Team to ensure all new and existing loan products meet required system specifications. Maintains awareness of changes in technology as they relate to the commercial loan area.
7. Interviews, selects and trains staff in accordance with the Pioneer’s EEO/AA Commitment. 8. Monitors and evaluates performance and makes recommendations for advancement and appropriate promotional and merit increases.
9. Motivates and counsels assigned staff to increase professionalism, exceed customer service expectations and encourage professional development while being mindful of succession planning.
10. Leads and/or participates on appropriate committees in regards to all loan related activities.
11. Acts as liaison between customers and other departments to answer questions and to prompting resolve issues.
12. Ensures that department practices comply with Federal and State laws and corporate human resource policies.
13. Supports and manages relationships between loan operations department and other areas of the Bank or outside vendors, including, but not limited to, Baker Hill and Medici.
Education & Experience:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, such as Finance or Accounting preferred.
2. At least five years’ recent loan operations and/or lending experience in banking required.
3. Knowledge of Pioneer’s loan policies and underwriting guidelines and procedures preferred.
4. Knowledge of all aspects of documentation relating to commercial loans, lines and mortgages required.
5. Flexibility with regard to work schedule (some evenings and Saturdays required).
6. Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills required.
7. Experience should include management of a commercial loan portfolio.
8. Technical knowledge of Pioneer’s computer loan operating systems and understanding of Federal and State loan regulations preferred.
9. Must have a working knowledge of computer operating systems and various software (MS Office, Horizon, IBM Query, and Baker Hill).
