Summary of Position:

The Maintenance Technician III independently repairs and performs complex electrical and mechanical maintenance on various plant equipment, systems, and related controls. The person in this position independently completes work assignments on numerous lines and/or with contractors for both internal and external projects.

Functions of the Position: % of Time Essential/ Marginal

• · Troubleshoots, repairs, and performs complex electrical and
• mechanical maintenance on various plant equipment, systems,
• and related controls independently. 45% Essential
• · Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Utilizes hand and power tools to facilitate work. 40% Essential
• · Works on fabricating necessary parts as needed. 10% Essential
• · Assists in other building maintenance or repair activities as
• needed. 5% Marginal
• · Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe
• and quality food by following current good manufacturing practices,
• allergen/sanitation controls, food defense/food fraud, HACCP/FSMA, SQF, and
• regulatory requirements.
• · Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls
• necessary to ensure food safety and quality.
• · Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to
• management.
• · Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills, and
• information within assigned team and across functional areas.
• · Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as
• professional and leadership development.
• · Responsible for compliance with all safety policies and procedures established
• for health and workplace safety.

Qualifications

· Education, Experience, and Knowledge:

o High school diploma or equivalent required.

o Seven plus years of experience in repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

o Advanced knowledge of electrical components and wiring.

o Knowledge of electrical trouble shooting up to 480v.

o Ability to work on elevated platforms.

Job Specific Requirements:

This position is subject to mandatory overtime based on business needs.

In the event that the Maintenance Technician III is absent, the Department Manager is responsible for providing an equally qualified person to cover this position.
