Qualifying Requirements:
Your work experience and education/training will be evaluated to determine if you meet the qualifying eligibility requirements listed below for this position. You will receive notice of your eligibility status.
WORK EXPERIENCE: The application must clearly show one (1) year of full-time experience in performing administrative and research duties related to the position duties. (Less than full-time experience will be calculated on a pro-rated basis.)
- EDUCATION/TRAINING: The application must clearly show an Associate’s Degree or higher from a fully accredited institution. (See NOTE under General Application Requirements regarding education/training verification.)
- EQUIVALENCY: Education/training and/or work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis if the application clearly shows the required number of years to meet the Total Qualifying Requirement for this position, based on the sum of work experience and education/training listed above. The Total Qualifying Requirement is three (3) years. (See NOTE under General Application Requirements regarding education/training verification.)
Minimum Qualifications

Other Qualifications
Maintains, researches, and recommends improvements to Cartegraph. Works with other City departments to standardize, enhance, and simplify use.
Researches and investigates issues using a variety of computer systems, including but not limited to Cartegraph, Skyhawk, Quetica, Victor Stanley, etc.
Greets visitors and callers, routing them as appropriate; sorts, receives, sends, and distributes USPS and interoffice mail
Requests new employee IDs, technology, hardware, software, tablets, mobile devices, etc.
Coordinates and participates in the coordination of departmental and City-wide initiatives.
Drafts and prepares routine office files and also confidential information, including memos, letters, reports, lists, spreadsheets, travel letters, pending lawsuits, disciplinary actions, grievances, bargaining strategies and proposals, departmental plans and preparations, etc., proofreading to ensure documents are readable and free from errors and typos.
Operates office technology and equipment – PC and peripherals, tablets, copier, scanner, plotter, and camera.
Gathers and analyzes information; compiles data to prepare a wide variety of reports, presentations, correspondence, and surveys; performs data entry, retrieval, and reporting.
Establishes and maintains files and prepares accurate reports, both manually and/or electronically, using a variety of programs such as Microsoft Products (Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Cartegraph, Google Forms, etc., to assist in the development of forms and office procedures.
Schedules and maintains a calendar of trainings; follows up on all certifications, training registrations, reimbursements, etc.
May train, cross-train, and/or organize training for City employees on assigned duties.
Orders office supplies and equipment.
Performs activities and functions of related personnel and other related tasks/duties as assigned or required.
