SUMMARY
The Farm Store associate is responsible for performing all daily operations of the Farm Store. Additional responsibilities include promoting company and branch location employee cohesiveness through effective communication, teamwork, and shared services and by following safety policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)
- Establishes and maintains excellent rapport with customers
- Serves customers by promptly responding to customer inquiries, questions, and/or complaints in a prompt, respectful, and professional manner
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities
- Answers the phone and greets customers
- Assists customers with sales, checkout process, and promotes all products
- Responsible for being knowledgeable of all products and services and exhibits ability to demonstrate to customers their uses
- Assists with opening and closing the location and completing recordkeeping including processing sales documentation, daily deposits, and reconciling the cash drawer
- Loads and unloads feed, fertilizer, and/or trucks
- Adds new products to the system
- Counts and maintains inventory including ordering, receiving, unloading and restocking
- Probes and weighs trucks
- Weighs commodity samples and measures moisture
- Fills propane and NH3 tanks
- Completes all paperwork accurately, timely and in accordance with requirements Continually maintains facility cleanliness to ensure safety and required standards are met
- Works cooperatively with other locations to help ensure company goals are met
- Effectively communicates by verbal and written means with customers, employees and management
- Maintains and promotes safety awareness and follows safety policies, procedures and reporting requirements
- Must comply with all state and federal laws, codes and regulations
- Willingness to learn and to expand agronomy knowledge
- Presents a clean and professional appearance
- Responsible for prompt and regular attendance
- Employee is required to perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Willing to seek out and attend additional continuing education, seminars, classes or other job related education requirements or opportunities.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS
Forklift certification or the ability to obtain and maintain
