The Job

The National Sales Director is responsible for the direct production of our sales team in the assigned areas. This role is to provide coaching, participate in joint ride-along's, and mentor our sales team to hit each of their assigned sales quotas. This role will identify, interview, and hire leading candidates to continue building our world-class sales team. Our ideal candidate has at least 5 years of sales experience in the auto finance industry.

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Develop & lead the growing Sales Team. 
  • Ensure a high level of communication between Agora and our customers, maintaining regular follow-up throughout the customer journey. 
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to the Area Sales Manager team. 
  • Build networks and spheres of influence to grow Agora’s influence. 
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on products/services. 
  • Handle client complaints or concerns. 
  • Participate in events and conferences on behalf of the company. 
  • Report to the SVP Head Dealer Channel about goals, sales, and prospects. 
  • Completion of additional projects, reporting, and various tasks on an as-needed basis. 

 

Key Performance Indicators (to which you will be held accountable)

  • Writing dealers per month exceeding objective 
  • UPB per month exceeding objective 
  • New writing dealers exceeding objective 
  • Regional growth metrics 
  • New dealer conversions (Survey rate / New Writing dealers) 
  • Number of new surveys set by each rep each week and month 
  • Number of consistent writing dealers each month 
  • Number of yellow dots that begin writing consistently 

Qualifications


What You Need 

  • Bachelor’s degree  
  • Minimum 5 years of professional sales experience in automotive finance  
  • Familiarity and relationships within the auto industry    
  • Ability to successfully manage and develop a team of up to 8 Area Sales Managers 
  • Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques 
  • >50% Travel Required 

 

Preferred Skills 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and customer relationship tools such as Zoho 
  • Excellent communication skills
