The Floating Maintenance Person/Handy-Person (FMT/HP) is a hands-on position involved in the performance of routine and preventive maintenance tasks and in the performance of special or assigned projects.  The FMT/HP shall have demonstrated two years’ work/educational experience in two or more building trades which will include HVAC and/or electrical maintenance, repair or installation. The FMT/HP reports to the Operations Manager (OM).
 
 
Pay: $25.00 per hour

The pay listed is the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities:

The FMT is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, lamp replacement, minor electrical, plumbing and HVAC maintenance and repair.  The FMT/HP will be assigned dry wall repair and finish work, painting, and other routinely performed maintenance tasks commonly associated with the building trades. 

The FMT/HP will assist the Operations Manager in maintaining continuity of service when workers assigned to accounts are on extended leave. The FMT/HP may also be assigned to help with projects where expertise or additional labor is needed. Work may include the quarterly inspection and maintenance of AHUs and FCUs, ventilation equipment, special maintenance and repair projects, and other related tasks and duties assigned by the OM or Engineering staff at the site where the FMT/HP is working.

The FMT/HP will be assigned projects which require working independently without supervision.  These projects may be derived from work orders generated or received by the OM.  In all instances, before assigning unsupervised work, the OM must be satisfied that the FMT/HP has received all required training with respect to performance and safety procedures and that the required tools, equipment and materials have been made accessible to the FMT/HP. 

 
Basic Qualifications:

•  Must be 18 years of age or older
•  Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license
