Responsibilities:

  • Greets all guests upon arrival and bids farewell to all guests upon departure.
  • Display a good telephone voice that is well understood and conveys a pleasant, caring, and polite attitude.
  • Distributes to guests the menu, wine list, wine by the glass list, etc.
  • Maintain knowledge of food and beverage product pricing structure and service standards, wine service standards, menu specials, restaurant hours of operations and special events, etc.
  • Follows the specified format for reservation taking and confirmation.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel accommodations for the handicapped and be able to communicate to them.
  • Assist in the set up and breakdown of food and/or beverage displays.
  • Adheres to all life/safety procedures.

 

Qualifications


  • 1 year of host or related restaurant experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Developed English language skills (both written and orally) to communicate with other employees and guests.
  • Open Table experience (preferred, not required)
  • Walking or standing to a significant degree.
