Hybrid Mental Health and Social Services Specialist (full-time with FREE benefits) presso Huntington Beach Union High SD

Under general supervision, coordinates and provides professional mental health and social services including individual, group and family therapy, clinical assessments and consultative services to students, parents and District personnel in both the homes of students and at school sites; ensures compliance with applicable State and Federal laws, codes, and regulations (HIPAA and FERPA) related to student support and wellness service; and performs other related duties as assigned.

LICENSE REQUIRED Possession of a valid and appropriate California driver's license. Possession of, or in-process of obtaining, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) and/or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). EDUCATION A Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or closely related field that qualifies for obtaining either Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license. EXPERIENCE Two years of professional experience in providing therapeutic mental health and/or social services to children and/or adolescents, is required. Experience with “at promise” students, providing therapeutic mental health and social services in a school setting and/or experience working in public education preferred.

Employees are eligible for a step increase on their salary anniversary date each year, up to the maximum step 5 of this salary range.

This is an Open recruitment. The current position is located at Fountain Valley High School. The eligibility list will be valid for one year and used for future vacancies throughout the District during that time span.
