Position Summary:

The New Jersey Reentry Corporation (NJRC) is seeking an experienced, dynamic Director of Partnership Development to lead and expand our partnerships with corporate employers, business associations, and workforce organizations. This position is critical in building employment pipelines for NJRC program participants reentering the workforce.

The Director will serve as NJRC’s primary liaison to employers and key stakeholders, including the Second Chance Business Coalition, Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA), Chamber of Commerce, the Office of the Governor of New Jersey, and other business alliances, for the benefit of NJRC’s program participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate employers to create job placement opportunities for NJRC program participants.
  • Identify and evaluate potential strategic partners.
  • Negotiate and manage partnership agreements with corporate employers, ensuring they align with company objectives and provisions to cultivate a thriving collaboration.
  • Collaborate with business coalitions, HR organizations, industry leaders, and government offices to promote fair hiring practices for justice-impacted individuals.
  • Represent NJRC at professional events, conferences, and meetings with business associations and government officials.
  • Design and implement strategic plans to expand employer engagement and workforce development initiatives.
  • Lead the development and execution of partnership strategies, identify potential partners, negotiate agreements, and oversee the implementation of partnership programs. 
  • Serve as the key point of contact for the Second Chance Business Coalition and other corporate hiring initiatives.
  • Work closely with NJRC leadership to align corporate partnership strategies with organizational goals.
  • Track, report, and present progress to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

 

Qualifications:

  • MBA required.
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate partnership development or a related field.
  • Proven success in building and managing partnerships with corporate employers or business associations.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Knowledge of workforce development, reentry programs, or human capital strategy is a plus.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong corporate relationships, including networking effectively and fostering healthy relations with potential and existing partners.
  • Ability to engage with senior-level executives, policymakers, and community partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

 

Compensation:

  • Starting salary - $75,000 annually. Negotiable.
