The Wrestling Cheer Coach is responsible for leading and managing the wrestling cheerleading team during the winter sports season. This coach will promote school spirit and provide support to the wrestling program by coordinating cheers, sideline performances, and crowd engagement during meets. The role includes planning practices, ensuring student safety, and fostering a positive, inclusive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead regular practices to develop team skills, cheers, and routines specific to boys and girls wrestling matches.

• Organize team appearances at home wrestling meets and selected away events.

• Teach proper cheer techniques, sideline etiquette, and crowd engagement strategies.

• Supervise students during practices, events, and travel, ensuring compliance with school rules and safety procedures.

• Encourage sportsmanship, school spirit, and team unity among cheerleaders and spectators.

• Collaborate with the wrestling coaching staff and athletic department to coordinate event logistics.

• Maintain and manage uniforms, equipment, and supplies.

• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, school staff, and administration.

• Ensure team members meet eligibility and conduct standards as defined by state, school, and district policies.
