Primary Job Duties:As a SkyWest Ramp Supervisor, you will be given the opportunity to lead by example, set a positive work atmosphere for your department, and promote our guiding principles.
This position will be core or year round.
This is a full-time position.
Starting at $20 an hour.
Work closely with other supervisors to maintain a consistent standard and environment for our employees
Develop, supervise, and oversee ramp agents
Provide direction, guidance, and positive motivation for all station personnel
Ensure compliance with all SkyWest operating standards and procedures
Constantly promote TEAMWORK to achieve station goals
Attend company training classes
Conduct briefings and meetings with station personnel
- Requires one year of commercial airline ramp experience and one year of supervisory experience
- Be at least 18 years old
- Possess a valid unrestricted state-issued driver’s license
- Have a High School Diploma or GED
- Position-specific clearances include but are not limited to FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs clearances required
- Able to pass a pre-placement background check and drug screen
- Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Possess excellent communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrate strong people and employee-relation skills
- Self-motivated / goal-oriented
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to lift heavy bags in excess of 50+ pounds, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Able to work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions
Thorough understanding of ramp procedures
Required knowledge and understanding of SkyWest Airlines’ policies and procedures
- Familiar with partner dedicated computer system
