Treasury Accountant

Location

Hybrid (Manchester, NH) – Work in office 2x a week - Tuesdays and Thursdays

Summary

Performs various accounting duties which include collecting, inputting and reviewing financial data, preparing reconciliations, cash management and banking duties. 

Essential Functions

  • Performs various treasury accounting work for RiverStone, including its subsidiaries.
  • Maintain day-to-day banking functions including daily bank reconciliations, processing payments from multiple systems, processing check deposits, and managing banking relationships.
  • Maintain accounts payable functions including reviewing/posting invoices, maintaining vendors, and processing expense payments.
  • Maintain accounts receivable functions including entering/posting customer billings, applying cash receipts to customer cards, maintaining customer cards for accuracy and monitoring aged receivables.
  • Specific focus on monitoring and managing liquidity needs and cash flow.
  • Participates and provides assistance with the audit process, to include ensuring internal controls operate effectively.
  • Prepares internal and external audit supporting documentation.
  • Collects financial data for preparation, maintenance and analysis of various general ledger accounts.
  • Monitor vendor management by entering/verifying new vendors or vendor changes and ensuring proper document support.
  • Prepare the annual filing of 1099s.
  • Monitors various activities and transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitors various aspects of assigned area for compliance with required recording and reporting.
  • Analysis of financial data.
  • Communicates activity and transactions as appropriate.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Assists the business with ad hoc requests and special projects as needed related to Treasury.

Required Skills

  • Customer service oriented with the ability to develop long-lasting relationships with internal and external business partners.
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Computer skills in a Microsoft environment.
  • Able to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment.
  • Solid analytical ability and the demonstrated ability to effectively perform within a team oriented environment.
  • Detail and multi task oriented with strong mathematical and organizational skills.
  • Competent in accounting theory
  • Assist in basic-level data research

Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in Accounting
  • Treasury accounting experience a plus

Required Education

Four-year college degree in accounting or related field or comparable work experience required.

This position operates in a professional, collaborative environment and must have the ability to timely produce thorough, accurate work with many competing demands, deadlines, and distractions. The position uses standard equipment such as phones, computers, copiers/printers and filing cabinets. Noise level is moderate.
