Are you passionate about art and education? The Worcester Art Museum is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Faculty Assistants to support our youth art classes. This hands-on role is essential to ensuring a safe, engaging, and well-organized learning environment for students of all backgrounds and artistic levels.


Faculty Assistants work directly with instructors to prepare materials, assist students, and maintain classroom safety and cleanliness. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in art education and looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic museum setting.


Position Title: Faculty Assistant

Employment Type: Per Diem, Non-Exempt

Department: Studio Programs

Division: Learning & Engagement

Reports to: Youth Programs Supervisor

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Salary Range: Starting rate $15.50 hourly

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working with youth and basic knowledge of art materials.
  • Clear communication and ability to follow directions.
  • Energetic, creative, and committed to diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion.
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs and work in active, hands-on environments.
