ABOUT THE POSITION: SUPERVISOR – DISTRIBUTION CENTER OPERATIONS – The Supervisor coordinates and supervises daily tasks in a specific functional area of the distribution center—receiving/inbound, picking & packing/outbound, or quality control—to ensure accurate and timely shipments to 100+ retail stores. The Supervisor acts as a working leader, combining floor-level participation with task assignment, issue escalation, and workflow monitoring. You will be responsible for performing and supervising team members in an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inbound Supervisor:
- Supervise unloading, receiving inspection, and put-away
- Ensure timely processing of vendor shipments and accurate bin placement
Outbound Supervisor:
- Oversee order picking and packing accuracy
- Prioritize shipments by route/store deadlines and fulfillment priorities
Quality Control Supervisor:
- Conduct outbound audits, verify labeling, and handle damaged/returned items
- Ensure packaging and documentation match store-specific requirements

REQUIREMENTS
- High school Diploma/GED preferred
- 2+ years of warehouse, stocking, or distribution experience, including leading a team of associates in a retail distribution environment
- Experience with store order fulfillment, retail cycle replenishment and seasonal throughput planning
- Experience with standard warehouse equipment and training (i.e., forklift, scissor lift, etc.)
- Familiarity with WMS systems, barcode scanning, and shipment systems (LTL, parcel)
- Working knowledge of, and proven ability to implement, safety procedures, warehouse layouts and compliance standards
- Proven self-motivation and leadership skills managing teams in a deadline-driven setting;
- Thrives in a highly collaborative environment and is always looking for the “better way” to improve upon current operations
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic, with a commitment to accuracy and a high level of productivity
- Communicate clearly and proactively with teammates (managers and associates) to ensure timely completion of duties. Report issues through the chain of command
- Willingness to learn multiple functions and cross train
- General math and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation, attendance and punctuality
- Must be able to bend, walk/stand for 8 hours or more and lift 30-50 lbs.
- Some exposure to dusty and dirty work conditions
- Some exposure to storing hazardous materials
