POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the School Age Child Care Leadership, is responsible for maintaining a warm, healthy environment to promote the total growth and well-being of the children in the program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Overall responsibility is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Sites under their responsibilities to ensure the Site Programs are running effectively, and EEC rules are adhered to
- Review the site programming calendar monthly to ensure it is complete to meet the needs for the children
- Ensure the site has all the supplies and equipment they need
- Meet with Site Coordinators on a weekly basis to assess their needs
- Observe what is happening at the site
- Determine the needs of the staff (what support is needed)
- Review Write ups and assist in addressing behavioral issues
- Review the Trifold to ensure the information is up to date
- Meet with Parents if needed about behavior issues
- Meet with Parents at dismissal to gain general feedback
- Meet with the Principals once a month to ensure their needs are being met
- Assist in the training of the Site Coordinator and Group Leader
- Submit the annual re-licensing for each site
- Attend school PTO and other events to help promote the School Age Program
- Attend Site Meetings and report how things are going
- Create Schedules for Full Days – including Field Trips
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 21 years of age at time of application (EEC requirement)
- Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in child development, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Guidance, Human Services, or any related field and have six months of experience; or
- Have a bachelor’s degree in any field or an associate degree (completed or in progress) in any field of study and have nine months of working experience working with school age children.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent; and have one year of experience working with school-age children.
- At least 6 months of administrative experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in working with school-age children.
- At least 2 years of experience in customer service / relation.
- At least 2 years of experience in staff supervision.
- First Aid/CPR/AED certifications or willing to obtain within 60 days of hire
- Demonstrated ability to conduct complex, critical problem solving independently
- Knowledge of and ability to learn appropriate child development techniques
- Demonstrated record of timeliness and punctuality
