About the Department

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Gym Attendant to support daily operations at the Anderson Cohen Weightlifting Center. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all our members, assist with equipment maintenance, and support recreational classes and events while providing guidance on membership and sales.

Position Duties

• Oversee front desk operations.
• Check-in members, answer phone calls, and collect memberships fees.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to complete transactions.
• Provide information about memberships, programs, and schedules.
• Use facility management software (Xplor) for scheduling, check-ins, and reporting.
• Maintain class attendance records, document facility use, and assist with basic data entry.
• Open and/or close the facility following established procedures.
• Monitor entire gym floor to ensure safety protocols are being followed.
• Regularly inspect and maintain equipment while ensuring all equipment is in working condition and sanitized.
• Create continuity of services and promote future growth.
• Set up and break down equipment for classes, events, or competitions.
• Assist in creating content (photos, videos, captions) for social media platforms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, and
• Any equivalent combination of experience of training.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Interest in strength sports, Olympic lifting, or personal training.
• Photography/video editing experience.
• Enthusiastic, team-oriented, and highly dependable.
