The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in compensation principles, strong analytical capabilities, and a consultative approach to partnering with HR and business leaders across the enterprise. This is a high-impact role that supports the full compensation lifecycle, including base pay, variable pay, job evaluation, benchmarking, annual review cycles, and compensation tools and systems.
How You Will Help:
- Administer and support the organization’s compensation programs, including base salary structures, incentive plans, and recognition programs.
- Ensure compensation programs support business objectives and drive employee engagement, retention, and performance.
- Participate in the design and continuous improvement of compensation frameworks and policies across the organization.
- Conduct job analysis and evaluations to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Manage benchmarking processes using market surveys and industry data (e.g., Radford, Mercer, Willis Towers Watson).
- Maintain the integrity of job architecture, leveling, and titling across departments.
- Lead or support annual compensation review cycles, including merit increases, bonus calculations, and equity planning (if applicable).
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Finance to ensure accurate budgeting and alignment with pay-for-performance principles.
- Provide tools, communications, and training to HR and people managers for compensation planning processes.
- Ensure compensation practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., FLSA, pay transparency laws, pay equity).
- Prepare compensation reports, dashboards, and analytics to inform decision-making and track key compensation metrics.
- Support audits, reporting, and filings related to pay equity and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and Talent Management to align compensation strategies with talent development and retention goals.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to leaders on compensation-related decisions and complex cases.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and HRIS teams to ensure consistency, alignment, and job description integrity.
- Work alongside HRIS team to ensure Human Capital Management system is correctly coded and functioning properly.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or a related field (Master’s or MBA a plus).
- 5–8 years of progressive experience in compensation, preferably in a large or matrixed organization.
- Deep knowledge of compensation practices, job evaluation methodologies, and market pricing tools.
- Experience with incentive plan design required.
- Experience managing annual compensation planning cycles and implementing compensation technologies
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Human Capital Management systems.
