Primary Function

The Warehouse Operations Team Associate I (OTA I) supports both the physical and administrative functions of warehouse operations. This role includes duties related to shipping, receiving, inventory control, data entry, and ERP documentation. OTA I ensures that materials are accurately handled, documented, and processed to support an efficient and safe warehouse environment. The role demands proficiency in ERP systems for accurate inventory tracking, while ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in a safe, organized, and efficient environment. This role requires the employee to be onsite at our location at all times; remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Receiving & Shipping Support:

  •  Receive and inspect incoming materials from internal and external customers.
  •  Record and report any discrepancies or damage to Winnsboro warehouse management.
  •  Label and tag materials with accurate identifiers.
  •  Prepare outgoing shipments using pick orders, staging, and shipping reports.
  •  Print and prepare labels, packing lists, and Bills of Lading.
  •  Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  •  Post all inbound materials in ERP and inventory databases.

Inventory Control & Documentation

  •  Conduct accurate counts of incoming stock and perform regular cycle counts as per agreed schedule.
  •  Reconcile discrepancies in shipping and receiving documentation.
  •  Track shipments and manage Bills of Lading (BOLs).
  •  Ensure completeness of logs and documentation related to receiving and shipping.
  •  Support procurement of warehouse tools and supplies.
  •  Maintain accurate inventory records and training documentation using ERP systems and spreadsheets.

Data Entry & Systems Support

  •  Enter Work-in-Progress (WIP) transfers in ERP from Production to Finished Goods.
  •  Accurately log ERP receipts and outbound shipments.
  •  Maintain compliance documentation both digitally and manually.
  •  Troubleshoot data discrepancies and escalate as needed.
  •  Provide data for daily management reports and operations reviews.

Communication & Cross-Functional Coordination

  •  Collaborate with departments including Logistics, Production, Sales, IT, and Corporate.
  •  Communicate operational updates across teams and escalate unresolved issues.
  •  Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and 5S/GWP practices.
  •  Support warehouse cleanliness, safety, and compliance with SOPs and GMPs.

Other Duties:

  •  Adhere to safety guidelines, company policies, and compliance regulations.
  •  Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
  •  Perform other warehouse-related tasks as assigned by management.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  •  Talk, hear, stand, walk, reach, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl.
  •  Close vision required; quiet to moderate noise levels.
  •  Indoor warehouse setting with varying temperatures.
  •  May require PPE depending on job functions.

Requirements

Specialized Knowledge and Skills

  •  Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  •  Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  •  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. safely; extended standing, walking, and manual tasks.
  •  Ability to read and interpret shipping/production instructions.
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  •  Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
  •  Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  •  High school diploma or GED required; some college or admin/tech certifications preferred.
  •  1–3 years of experience in warehousing, logistics, or clerical operations.
  •  Experience in inventory control, data entry, or warehouse systems support.
  •  Microsoft Office (Intermediate), ERP systems experience.
  •  Accurately identify products by size, style, color, or batch.
  •  Read and interpret written instructions for production and shipping.
  •  Able to lead, train, and support team members.
  •  Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
