Summary/Objective
Directly supervises and coordinates day-to-day activities of production employees to ensure product conformance to quality and customer specifications. Trains employees in work methods and procedure and handles technical problems and employee relations issues. Supervise MRB, Scrap, Efficiency and monitoring employee’s performance in a daily basis.
Key Performance Indicators
· Monitors incident rates and near-miss reporting to ensure best safety practices are being followed.
· Ensures all employees adhere to the Quality Policy in place and finished products are defect free. Maintain and control MRB area.
· Monitors daily efficiency and available manpower. In charge of planning extended hours as needed.
Essential Functions
· Execute production based on planning schedule with his/her direct report to ensure production and quality of products meets customer specifications.
· Monitoring efficiency and make the necessary adjustment to improve output.
· Responds to employee inquiries and manages issues related to employee attendance, performance, counseling & discipline, termination, staffing, pay, and benefits.
· Control Inventory, MRB, Cycle counts in their area.
· Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data, such as types, quantities, and specifications or products and scheduled delivery dates, and makes recommendations to management.
· Reviews and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
· Interacts with schedulers, expediters, quality personnel, engineers and other department supervisors regarding scheduling and related changes to manufacturing requirements.
· Monitors SPC charts and rejected parts to detect manufacturing problems.
· Maintains inventory and ordering to ensure availability of expense items and non-production materials and parts.
· Manages attendance, formal problem solving, performance, and disciplinary action issues in accordance to company policy.
· Ensures all safety regulations are carefully followed in all production areas.
· Completes layered audits monthly and put corrective actions in place as needed.
· Other responsibilities as needed and assigned.
· Responsible for creating your team’s KPIs used for the company’s overall efficiency
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· Ability to perform basic math skills
· Deep knowledge of AX system and able to teach, train and guide Supervisor I
· Follow all safety rules and should perform all duties in compliance with both ISO14001 and ISO9001 requirements.
· Empowered with the ability to stop the flow of production to correct quality issues.
· A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
· Follow Lancer Quality Policy and company concepts, practices, and procedures.
· Maintain the department budget and estimate raw material usage.
· Computer skills highly desired: Familiarity with manufacturing resource software required. Knowledge of MS Word & Excel a plus.
· Supervisory skills required.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels in the organization required.
· Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks required.
· Some lifting required
Education & Experience
· High School Diploma or GED equivalency required.
· College degree or vocational training in assigned field preferred.
· Two (2) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required. Specific experience in assigned vocation/trade may be required for technical/skilled trade departments.
· Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The employee is exposed to outside weather conditions at the manufacturing site. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
