The Program to Encourage Active, Rewarding Lives (PEARLS) is a short-term culturally and linguistically responsive holistic service based on skill-building and problem-solving interventions that supports underserved community dwelling older adults who are experiencing depression, isolation, and other co-occurring chronic health issues. The program was developed by the University of Washington Health Promotion Research Center and is an evidence-based practice that has demonstrated effectiveness in reducing depressive symptoms, increasing quality of life, and advancing health aging equity.
Position Objective: Responsible for leading the program’s community outreach & education efforts focused on identifying and screening prospective participants, providing mental health and stigma reduction education, and collaborating with local stakeholders to support the program ‘s needs.
JOB FUNCTIONS (including but not limited to):
· Coordinate and deliver public, private, and civic outreach presentations to introduce/promote the program with potential participants, health care providers, community partners, and the public.
· Design an outreach and education plan that incorporates in person outreach in community-based settings, virtual outreach, and utilizes traditional marketing strategies to promote the program.
· Develop audiovisual, marketing, and educational materials to support outreach and enrollment efforts.
· Represent the program and advocate for senior mental health at local and State coalitions and networks.
· Recruit new PEARLS participants through various outreach efforts.
· Manage the program’s social media accounts to enhance visibility and engagement.
· Lead PEARLS OC outreach coordination efforts with program team members.
· Participate in the department outreach meetings to discuss strategies and progress.
· Provide PEARLS training and education to new PEARLS Coaches in collaboration with the Program Supervisor and Clinical Supervisor.
· Tracks and reports program’s outreach and education activities using monthly reporting tools.
· Other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements
Qualifications:
· BA in Public Health, Communications, Gerontology, Marketing, Business, or related fields.
· Non-profit and/or healthcare experience preferred.
· Outstanding communication skills both writing and verbal.
· Bilingual English-Spanish or English-Korean preferred.
· Ability to develop a sense of trust and rapport with community stakeholders.
· Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and in team settings.
· Ability to work independently to achieve goals managing time efficiently in a fast-pace environment.
· Proficient in modern office practices including Microsoft excel, word, and outlook software.
· Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
· A valid California driver’s license, proof of current vehicle insurance, reliable transportation and the ability to transport oneself and the participants to scheduled appointments in the community.
· Submit to and successfully complete a Live Scan fingerprinting background check.
