Description

Essential Purpose: To maintain the highest possible quality of appearance and condition of resort lawns and gardens. 

Essential Duties: 

• To satisfactorily perform routine Gardening functions as directed, including mowing, grading, pruning, trimming, thinning, watering, fertilizing, spraying, tying and staking, seeding, planting, and transplanting.
• To transport to work areas loads of asphalt, concrete mix, gravel, and similar materials.
• To receive, load, unload, and store gardening materials weighing up to 80 lbs.
• To assist, as directed, in performing minor cement, electrical, and plumbing work.
• To maintain, as directed, the cleanliness and operating condition of gardening equipment.
• To respond to all guest requests in a timely and professional manner.
• To promote & comply with all policies and procedures of Temecula Creek Inn
• To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions. 
• To maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times. 
• To practice safe work habits at all times, to avoid injury to self and others, including the safe operation of all power-driven machinery.
• To ensure safe work practices of all Golf Course Maintenece staff, including compliance with company and departmental safety rules and regulations and the proper use and handling of all relevant equipment and machinery.
• To attend all mandatory meetings, as directed. 
• To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.

Requirements

Knowledge + Education: Able to speak, read, and write English, and to follow simple verbal instructions. Experienced in operation and care of relevant gardening equipment. Hotel experience preferred.

Skills: Detail oriented. Organized and efficient. Safety-minded. High quality standards for production and service. Courteous, friendly manner. Good team player. Customer service focus. Ability to work productively with little supervision. Trustworthy and reliable.

Physical Demands: Stands/walks approximately 90% of shift. Sits/drives approximately 10% of shift. May be required to work at extreme heights. Routinely required to handle and move objects weighing up to 80 lbs. over short distances. Stoops, bends, reaches, and lifts to perform routine job tasks. Flexibility and good reflexes required to operate power-driven machinery. Must be able to withstand prolonged exposure to sun.
