Duties
The following are duties you may be required to accomplish but it is not all inclusive: Assists with planning, organizing, coordinating, scheduling, promoting, and implementing a variety of year-round indoor and outdoor activities through Outdoor Recreation, which could include overnight trips. Assists with planning specific activities that address interests of eligible patrons. Works with Outdoor Recreation Director to establish schedule of events as well as the rules and regulations to be observed. Chaperons group outings, activities, and programs; ensuring all rules and regulations are complied with. Completes after action reports of all activities conducted. Develops a local resource inventory for program planning and referral. Performs and/or assists in program operation and maintenance of equipment and facilities. Issues and receives recreational equipment to authorized patrons. Checks returned equipment for condition and repair needs. Arranges equipment in displays and storage areas. Assists with providing customer with damage assessment and repair costs. Assists with the Information, Tickets and Tours (ITT) Program including tickets sales, distributing updated information, and contacting potential customers to assist in selecting packages. Prepares daily cashier reports and deposits. Is competent in the RecTrac program and uses it daily. Assists in evaluating trends in use of equipment and sales of merchandise. Accounts monthly activity use and reports findings to supervisor. Assists in monthly inventory. Works under the direction of the Outdoor Recreation Program Manager. Qualifications

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: A practical knowledge of recreational activities, procedures, and skill in the use of various recreation equipment. Minor knowledge in maintenance and minor repair of rental equipment. Must have experience which demonstrates competency, adaptability to fast paced working environment, and ability to resolve problems. Motorized on/off road vehicle operation is a requirement. Must have a valid Driver License. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds, and push/pull 100 pounds. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. Applicant must be at least 18 years old.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.

Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
