Responsibilities:As a Network Engineer you will have the opportunity to do the following:
- Coordinate with network administrators and stakeholders to manage changes, whether implementing new networks or upgrading existing ones.
- Play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and executing security measures to protect both new and legacy networks.
- Engage in network modeling, analysis, and strategic planning, you'll help us stay ahead in the rapidly evolving tech landscape.
- Work closely with architecture teams to evaluate and recommend cutting-edge network technologies. Support network administrators in resolving complex troubleshooting issues and may oversee vendor engagements to aid in these efforts.
- Handle operational or administrative duties for networks in both lab and production environments.
- Exhibit higher levels of independent thought and handle more complex tasks than Level II engineers, with the potential to supervise others.
- Bring your strategic vision and proactive problem-solving skills to a dynamic and forward-thinking team.
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalency
- Public Trust Clearance
- IA Technical/Management Designation: IAT II and CE
- Experience in this Discipline: Six (6) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Experience with scripting and automation tools like Python or Ansible for network automation.
- Knowledge of emerging networking technologies and trends, such as SD-WAN.
- These qualifications equip a Network Engineer III to manage and optimize complex network environments effectively, ensuring their reliability, security, and scalability.
