What You’ll Get to Do

The Maintenance Technician – Day Shift is focused on troubleshooting equipment, determining appropriate repairs and part replacement, and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment and reports to the Maintenance Manager.

This role is perfect for an individual who can troubleshoot, inspect, and repair machines and equipment.  A vital member of the Maintenance Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader

Job responsibilities include:

• Electrical and mechanical plant maintenance including the repair and installation of machinery and equipment as assigned and directed by supervisor

• Ensure plant equipment is operating within the appropriate operating capabilities
• Troubleshoot using electrical meters if necessary to determine appropriate repairs including the replacement of defective parts
• Assemble, install, test, and inspect machines and equipment as needed
• Assist with the completion of all required preventative and routine maintenance of equipment and machinery
• Assist in upgrading equipment including fabrication of parts
• All other duties assigned

What We Are Looking For

• At least 5 years experience in industrial manufacturing

• Experience operating grinders; drill press; saws; lathes; milling machines; misc. machines; alter and repair fixtures and tools; sharpening tools.
• Knowledge and comprehension of English including reading, writing, and speaking
• Knowledge of basic arithmetic, algebra, geometry and their applications.
• Proven Industrial electrical experience required. Including the use of electrical meters.
• Sufficient visual acuity to read machine and equipment blueprints, plant layout, equipment manuals and schematics
• A good knowledge of PLC operated equipment, Allen Bradley, Seimens. IDEC.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electric, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with all policies, procedures, rules, and regulations as defined by OSHA and the company

• Pay Range $20.19 - $37.02. The pay range for this position takes into account many variables such as experience, education, skills, interview and geographic location.
