Job Description: As a member of Mental Health Services, the Social Worker is an integral member of the multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include screening, crisis intervention, counselling, goal planning, consultation, preparation of reports, data collection and client, family and public education.
"Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

- 1 year experience in the area of mental health and addiction services

- Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

- Knowledge in mental health and mental illness across life cycle

- Knowledge of mental health and mental illness issues in a variety of settings
- Knowledge in health promotion and prevention strategies
- Demonstrate knowledge of the Mental Health Services Act/related legislation
- Knowledge in appropriate systems theory and interventions
- Ability to work with CMHNs to deliver education program to families
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Knowledge in applicable health promotion and health prevention initiatives
