Hybrid HRE Driver/Service Technician presso Black River Health

Don’t miss this opportunity to join our Home & Respiratory Equipment Department.  Black River Health has immediate openings for an HRE Driver/Service Technician.  This position uses service and educational skills to ensure safe delivery, setup, and use of home medical equipment and maintains the quality provider image for the organization in the community. 

• Full-time, 72 hours per pay period, Days & on-call; Monday - Friday, benefited

Essential Duties Include:

• Develops and maintains technical and working knowledge of home medical equipment, respiratory products, and services provided as appropriate. 
• Manages the ordering of various home & hospital tanks and maintains proper inventory.
• Delivers and sets up the required equipment (including oxygen tank deliveries) and educates clients/caregivers in the proper use and care of respiratory and home medical equipment in the home setting.        Picks up equipment from patient homes as needed, processes dirty equipment, and prepares the equipment for the next patient
• Maintains home oxygen systems through regularly scheduled visits to patients.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance & repairs equipment as required in accordance with organization policies and manufacturer’s recommendations (walkers, wheelchairs, etc.)

Educational Qualifications:

• High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent is required
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and ability to meet the organization’s driving eligibility requirements for operating company vehicles
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
• Effective communication skills to educate patients, interact with families, and document care accurately
• Healthcare experience preferred
