Join our team as a Clerical Aide in Laurel, MD. This position supports day to day operations through customer service, data entry, and general administrative tasks.
 
 
 

 

Essential Duties: 
  1. Greet visitors, answer phones, and assist with customer inquiries.
  2. Enter and update customer records in the library database.
  3. Organize and maintain files, records, and display areas.
  4. Sort and shelve materials accurately.
  5. Collect customer fines and fees.
  6. Coordinate and distribute office supply orders.
  7. Support special projects, meetings, and events.
  8. Serve as a positive ambassador for the library.
 Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED (work permit required if under 18).
  • Great communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to shelve 100 books per hour.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, email, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Physical ability to reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, and frequently lift or move up to 20 pounds.


Work Schedule:  Tuesday: 3 pm-8 pm; Wednesday: 3 pm-8 pm; Saturday: 10 am-3 pm
