Resident Substitute Teacher
 

Position Summary

PCK is seeking a dependable, organized, and student-focused teacher to join our team. This full-tim position responsible for covering various classrooms as needed during the absence of the classroom teacher and also coordinates substitute teacher assignments across the school. This dual role is essential to ensuring smooth operations and uninterrupted learning for students.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction based on teacher lesson plans in grades K–8, as needed
   

• Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment
   

• Adapt to different grade levels and subject areas on short notice
   

• Coordinate and communicate daily sub assignments with office staff and teaching teams
   

• Serve as the primary contact for substitute needs and coverage logistics during the school day
   

• Support non-instructional duties such as office support, lunch, recess, and hallway supervision when not assigned to a classroom
   

• Maintain accurate records of sub coverage and collaborate with the admin and office teams
   

• Communicate professionally with staff, students, and administration
   

• Uphold school expectations and model positive behavior and professionalism
   

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or minimum of 60 college credit hours (in education) preferred
   

• Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) License preferred (Teaching License or 3-year or 5-year Substitute Authorization (or willingness to obtain) preferred
   

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
   

• Experience working with students or in a school environment preferred
   

• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and shifting priorities with patience and flexibility
   

• Familiarity with or willingness to learn school scheduling systems and tools
   

Position Details

• Schedule: Full-time, 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday–Friday when school is in session.
  Note: Coordinating substitute coverage may require availability outside of standard school hours (e.g., early mornings or evenings).
   

• Compensation: $50,000 (anticipated starting salary) and eligible for school benefits
   

• Start Date: Immediate opening
